Shea & Bo’s Dream Wedding in Savannah

At Port Town Collective (PTC), we believe weddings are more than just one day—they’re a journey of vision, care, and celebration. Shea and Bo’s May wedding in Savannah was the perfect reflection of this approach: timeless Southern charm, thoughtful design, and a night their guests will never forget. We loved incorporating 4 generations of family gowns into the aesthetic.

Morning Elegance at The Green-Meldrim House

The day began at the historic Green-Meldrim House, where Shea and her bridesmaids got ready in one of Savannah’s most treasured landmarks. Surrounded by Gothic Revival architecture and flooded with natural light, the setting provided a breathtaking backdrop for hair, makeup, and those quiet, anticipatory moments before walking down the aisle.

A Ceremony of Tradition at St. John’s Church

Steps away, Shea and Bo exchanged vows at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Madison Square. The sanctuary’s soaring arches, stained glass, and intimate setting made for a heartfelt ceremony filled with love, family, and meaning.

Dancing into Forever at The Oglethorpe Club

The celebration continued at the elegant Oglethorpe Club, where guests enjoyed an evening of international fare before filling the dance floor. The Atlanta Wedding Band delivered an unforgettable performance, keeping energy high and joy flowing as friends and family celebrated into the night. The Club was transformed in a way that cohesively blended with the lush downtown Savannah “garden” environment.

A Special Private Moment

Just before the dinner reception began, we whisked the bride and groom away for thirty minutes to share their first meal together in private. The bride later told us it was her favorite part of the day—a rare chance to pause, savor, and simply be with one another. While they dined, their families raised a private toast, creating a moment of connection just as meaningful. This intentional pause set the tone for the evening, ensuring the couple returned refreshed, present, and ready to celebrate.

How PTC Supported the Fincher Family

From the very beginning, Shea and Bo entrusted Port Town Collective with our 12-month full planning package, combining design, event production, and logistics management. Here’s how our team supported the family every step of the way:

Vision & Planning

  • Crafted a custom 12-month planning timeline, guiding decisions at the right pace.

  • Built and managed a detailed budget plan, balancing priorities with dream elements.

  • Sourced, vetted, and contracted a trusted team of vendors (hair, makeup, photography, videography, florals, music, catering, rentals, transportation).

  • Coordinated all church and venue logistics between Green-Meldrim House, St. John’s, and the Oglethorpe Club.

  • Provided monthly check-ins and planning meetings to keep everything on track.

Design & Styling

  • Developed a cohesive wedding design concept—from color palette to floral style to tabletop details.

  • Curated ceremony and reception décor to complement Savannah’s historic settings while still feeling fresh and personal.

  • Designed all floorplans and layouts, ensuring flow between venues and maximizing guest experience.

  • Partnered with floral and rental vendors to create elevated, timeless, and comfortable atmospheres.

Production & Execution

  • Created a minute-by-minute master timeline for the entire wedding week.

  • Coordinated vendor arrival and setup, ensuring seamless transitions between the three venues.

  • Oversaw all on-site installations—from ceremony florals to reception lighting and rentals.

  • Directed the bridal party processional and ceremony cues at St. John’s.

  • Managed the reception flow, from grand introductions and speeches to dinner service and dancing.

  • Provided a dedicated PTC event team on-site for full event production and guest support.

  • Ensured the family could be fully present, while we handled every behind-the-scenes detail.
