A Marie Antoinette-Inspired 30th: A Royal Celebration in Georgia

When you turn thirty, it’s only fitting to celebrate like royalty. For one unforgettable night in Georgia, our client—an absolute queen in every sense—was transported to Versailles for a Marie Antoinette–themed fête that blended Rococo opulence with Port Town Collective’s signature cinematic touch. We loved geeking out on these wildly obsessive details!
Candlelight tones set a warm, romantic glow that softened the space and highlighted the ornate details, while layers of pink and purple lighting added playful decadence and modern vibrancy. Together, they created an atmosphere that was both opulent and whimsical, perfectly echoing the spirit of Marie Antoinette.
Inspired by Coppola’s Vision
The aesthetic was deeply influenced by Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette—that iconic marriage of pastel palettes, whimsical details, and unapologetic luxury. We drew inspiration from the film’s dreamlike portrayal of excess: champagne towers, feathered textures, pearls and gilded accents, and layers upon layers of confectionary color. IS THIS CAKE NOT FAB!?
Our client wanted a celebration that felt cinematic yet intimate, indulgent yet personal. That’s where Port Town Collective stepped in—guiding the vision from concept to execution, sourcing and curating bespoke rentals, and ensuring every moment felt like stepping into a Rococo painting brought to life.
The Details That Made It Royal
Every corner of the celebration was considered and curated:
Bespoke Rentals: Custom curated french antique furniture pieces were layered throughout the space, from gilded chairs and velvet banquettes to pearl-studded glassware and delicate cake stands fit for Versailles.
Hair & Makeup: Our glam team brought the fantasy to life with towering hairstyles, pastel powdered palettes, and just the right amount of theatrical flair.
Florals: Lush arrangements of roses, peonies, and ranunculus cascaded in soft pinks, lavenders, and buttery yellows—framed with ostrich feathers for maximum drama.
Photography & Video: Our media partners captured the event with an editorial lens—every shot a still from a film, every frame a keepsake of a night that will live forever.
Catering & Confections: Decadence reigned supreme with over-the-top desserts, champagne flowing in endless supply, and rich Southern-inspired bites reimagined for Versailles.
Why This Party Was Different
What truly separated this soirée wasn’t just the aesthetic—it was the intentionality behind it. Port Town Collective doesn’t simply design events; we create experiences layered with meaning, curated with artistry, and delivered with precision.
For this client, we orchestrated not only the look and feel but also the flow: ensuring guests felt indulged from their first step into the venue to their final champagne toast. We honored family traditions while elevating them into an entirely new realm of luxury, crafting a once-in-a-lifetime celebration that felt authentic, extravagant, and deeply personal.
A Celebration Fit for a Queen
This Marie Antoinette–themed 30th birthday wasn’t just a party—it was a statement: that milestones deserve to be marked with grandeur, intention, and joy. With family and friends gathered in the glow of florals, feathers, and filmic light, the night became more than a party. It became legend.
And as the guests left, still humming with delight, one thing was certain: Port Town Collective doesn’t just plan events—we crown experiences.
