2025: A Year in Bloom: Reflections from Port Town Collective
Some years stretch you. Others surprise you. And then there are the rare years — the ones that feel like they’re gently rearranging you in all the right ways.
This was one of those years for us.
It was tender and challenging and joy-filled. It was long nights and early call times and a thousand tiny moments of “oh… this is why we do what we do.”
A year of trusting the process. A year of seeing beauty show up in places we didn’t expect.
More than anything, this year reminded us that design is personal, because people are personal.
And we were lucky enough to step into some truly special stories.
The Victory Drive Estate as Christmas: A Home That Felt Like a Hug
Walking into the completed holiday design in this home felt like walking into warmth — the kind of home where the holidays live in every corner. Each room had its own personality, and we got to bring that personality to life in tree form: the rich green dining room tree, the soft Marie Antoinette moment in the living room, the chic gold-black-white foyer tree, and the garland that wrapped the staircase in glow.
We laughed a lot during this install. We adjusted ornaments until they were just right. We stood back more than once and said, “Wait… I love this.”
Holiday installs remind us that design can feel like comfort. Like memory. Like home.
This one set the tone for our whole season.
Technicolor Romance: When Creativity Runs Wild
Technicolor Romance was exactly what its name says. Loud, bright, playful, and completely unafraid. It was a day when everyone’s creativity ran wild in the best possible way.
We got to experiment. To try things just because they felt right. To collaborate with friends who care about color as much as we do.
This showcase reminded us that joy is a design principle too.
It refreshed us. It stretched us. And it deepened our love for what we can create when we're allowed to dream without guardrails.
Shea & Bo: A Wedding That Felt Like Family
Shea and Bo’s wedding didn’t try to be anything it wasn’t — and that’s what made it unforgettable. It felt honest. Present. Full of people who truly loved being together.
You could feel their families in every moment… in every detail… in every small, quiet exchange.
Planning with them reminded us that the heart behind a wedding is never the décor — it’s the people standing inside it.
Corporate Events: A Different Kind of Storytelling
Corporate events stretch different muscles for us. There’s a rhythm to them — precise, intentional, structured — and we love the challenge of creating atmosphere without overpowering the brand’s voice.
Our Hyundai event for Verde Events felt effortless in the best way: a team working in sync, an aesthetic that clicked, a design that supported the story instead of stealing it.
It reminded us that beauty can be bold or subtle, both matter, and both are art.
Italy-Inspired Wedding Editorial: A Dream in Sunlight
This editorial was our love letter to all the places that shape how we see the world — especially Italy. The lemon groves, the ceramics, the stone, the color palette that lives between gold and seafoam… it gave us room to breathe creatively.
We got to slow down. To romanticize. To imagine.
Travel informs our design because it reminds us how much beauty exists in the everyday.
This shoot let us step outside Savannah for a moment while still creating something that feels deeply us.
Closing Reflections: What We’re Taking With Us
When we look back on this year, it isn’t a highlight reel, it’s a feeling. A feeling of growth. Of connection. Of being trusted with people’s most meaningful spaces and seasons.
We bloomed because the people around us let us.
Every client, every partner, every celebration gave us something — a lesson, a laugh, a new way of seeing.
And we’re carrying all of that forward as we step into a new year full of possibilities.
Here’s to a year of blooming, and to all that’s still waiting for its moment.
